Sie l\u00e4sst sich anhand ihrer Symptome relativ leicht erkennen. Typischerweise bilden sich auf der Blattoberseite Pusteln oder Flecken aus pulverf\u00f6rmigen Hyphenmassen und Fruchtk\u00f6rpern. Die Farbe der Flecken variiert von wei\u00df bis gr\u00e4ulich. Bei starkem Befall und g\u00fcnstigen klimatischen Bedingungen kann der Pilz auch andere Pflanzenteile befallen.<\/p>\n<p>Echter Mehltau ern\u00e4hrt sich von seinem lebenden Wirt, indem er Haustorien in die Epidermiszellen aussendet, um die notwendigen N\u00e4hrstoffe aufzunehmen.
