Woody Harrelson's marijuana dispensary denied

In February 2016, Woody Harrelson applied for one of the Hawaii Department of Health's licenses to open his medical marijuana dispensary.

But of the 66 licenses received, only 8 have been approved, and the famous actor's license is not among them.

Hawaii was the first state in the United States to legalize medical marijuana.

Woody submitted the paperwork for the marijuana dispensary license in Honolulu County on behalf of his company, Simple Organic Living.

License holders are required to have nearly one million euros in cash, 89,000 for each dispensary, and a good anecdote about smoking marijuana in the 1970s. They must also have resided in Hawaii for more than five years and can open a maximum of two production facilities and two retail outlets.

It should be remembered that in 2000 Harrelson appeared before the judge for having a small marijuana plantation at his home.

Despite this background, the reasons for denying the license have not been specified.
