Chilean authorities participated in the free delivery of Cannabiol, a cannabis-based phytopharmaceutical that will be distributed in 15 municipalities in Chile.

This cannabis-based medicine will help people with cancer and neurological diseases, as well as people suffering from chronic pain.
This medicine was developed by Knop Laboratories and costs 45,000 pesos per dose (approximately $75) and is the cheapest in the world according to the organizations that make up the project.
The ceremony was attended by Communist Party (PC) deputy Karol Cariola; the president of the non-profit foundation Mamá Cultiva, Paulina Bobadilla; the director of the Daya Foundation, Ana María Gazmuri; and three mayors from municipalities in the metropolitan region.
Gazmuri, leader of the institution that promoted the manufacture of Cannabiol I declare that: “This step is far-reaching, as they will not only be able to access Cannabiol the 2,500 patients from the 15 participating municipalities, but also any patient whose treating physician indicates it.”
Meanwhile, Karol Cariola stated that it is now possible to deliver with certainty, guarantee and studies "a phytopharmaceutical that will improve the quality of life of many.".
The Daya Foundation clarified that this medication responds "to the growing demand from patients seeking new ways to access the medicinal use of cannabis.".
