The first cannabis-based medicine is distributed in Chile

Chilean authorities participated in the free delivery of Cannabiol, a cannabis-based phytopharmaceutical that will be distributed in 15 municipalities in Chile.

This medicine was developed by Knop Laboratories and costs 45,000 pesos per dose (approximately $75) and is the cheapest in the world according to the organizations that make up the project.

The ceremony was attended by Communist Party (PC) deputy Karol Cariola; the president of the non-profit foundation Mamá Cultiva, Paulina Bobadilla; the director of the Daya Foundation, Ana María Gazmuri; and three mayors from municipalities in the metropolitan region.
