The PSC is committed to legalizing cannabis
This Saturday the congress of the PSC (Socialist Party of Catalonia) was held where resolutions were approved such as legalizing the consumption of cannabis, recognizing the right to euthanasia and that Spain be a federal republic.
The congress also endorsed several of the party's positions, such as the proposal for a federal reform of the Spanish Constitution that would recognize Catalonia as a nation and its historical rights. It also ruled out agreeing to a secession referendum should Catalans reject the constitutional reform.
The text regarding cannabis states that “Decriminalizing cannabis use is the most favorable option for society as a whole.” The PSC also declares that it is the best way to combat drug trafficking and ensure that this product is subject to administrative controls that guarantee its safety and health.
