Dispensaries or authorized businesses may not operate within a radius of 183 meters of any school, and in some jurisdictions, sales are prohibited within 305 meters of public parks, daycare centers, and other areas designated as "sensitive".

Home cultivation has no distance restrictions from schools or parks, but is limited to six plants, and sales at dispensaries will only be to people over 21 years of age and only up to one ounce (28.3 grams) per purchase.
