The Parliament of Navarre defends the law on cannabis clubs
The Board of Spokespersons of the Parliament of Navarre has approved an institutional declaration by which the Chamber reaffirms its support for Law 24/2014, of December 2, regulating cannabis user groups.
Those who voted in favor of the declaration were Geroa Bai, EH Bildu Nafarroa, Podemos-Ahal Dugu, the Socialist Party of Navarre and Izquierda Ezquerra; those who voted against were the Union of the Navarrese People and the Popular Party of Navarre.
The declaration also invites all Cannabis clubs and associations to establish mechanisms for self-regulation, good practices and collaboration with the administration, as long as there is no express state regulation on the matter.
Furthermore, the Parliament of Navarre urges the Spanish Parliament, the State Government and the Administration of Justice to make solid progress, both in a consistent regulation and legal interpretation that allows for decisive progress, as other countries are doing, towards regulating the consumption of Cannabis, always from the perspective that it is a product that carries health risks.
