Looking for someone to burn marijuana: 1 ton every 2 hours
The DEA (U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration) is looking for a contractor to burn one ton of marijuana every two hours in Arizona.
The offer was published by the DEA division in Houston.
The marijuana will arrive in Arizona from 12 cities across the United States. It will actually be part of the 400 tons of illegal marijuana that the DEA seizes annually. However, due to the decriminalization of cannabis in several states, this number is decreasing.
The marijuana to be burned will arrive in the form of compressed bricks, weighing between 15-25 Kg.
According to the offer published by the anti-drug agency, the integrity of the destruction process must be guaranteed, and the material cannot be recovered once the destruction has been carried out.
No residue should remain in the incinerator, and the marijuana must be destroyed until no detectable levels remain.
All of this will be constantly monitored on-site by DEA personnel and recorded by closed-circuit cameras. In addition, the area will be enclosed with a high fence to prevent passersby from seeing it.
The U.S. Border Patrol is also looking for someone to burn their drugs. But in this case, it's not just marijuana; it also includes hashish, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, steroids, opiates, and khat.
Out of curiosity, to burn marijuana it must be done at 815ºC.
