Snoop Dogg launches a website about marijuana
The legalization of marijuana has begun in the United States, leading to its legalization in many states for both medicinal and recreational use. As a result, new businesses associated with marijuana consumption are emerging.
In this case, rapper Snoop Dogg, along with his associate Ted Chung, has decided to found Merry Jane, a website dedicated to marijuana. In a few weeks, it will provide information on the various types available, the risks of its consumption, recipes, accessories, and more—all accompanied by videos and interviews. In his statements, he asserted that "we would be a better world if everyone came out of the closet and admitted they like to smoke.".
The rapper also has the support of artists such as singer Miley Cyrus and comedian Seth Rogen.
This isn't Snoop Dogg's first foray into the cannabis business. In 2012, he tried his hand at a company selling rolling papers, in 2013 with a mobile app, and this year, 2015, with a California startup that delivers medical marijuana in minutes.
