Marijuana smoking area at McDonald's in Colorado
The fast-food company McDonald's has announced that it will install marijuana consumer zones in 15 of its franchises in the state of Colorado, where marijuana use is legal.
The restaurants will have booths where customers can freely smoke marijuana without disturbing other patrons. These booths will have a ventilation pipe at the top to eliminate smoke and odor.
It is expected that by the end of 2015 all 15 franchises will have these booths, and McDonald's states that it will not sell marijuana or cannabis edibles but rather that it will be an advantage for its consumer customers.
