The first International Cannabis Fair in Colombia will be held from November 22nd to 25th, 2016, featuring 110 international and national exhibitors and 16 speakers responsible for providing the academic component to the event.
The fair covers 4200 square meters and is held in the Botanical Garden of Medellin.
The concept is to destigmatize cannabis and highlight its properties as a medical treatment, offering all kinds of products for self-cultivation, planting methodologies and everything related to the plant.
Among the speakers are Lumir Hanus, an Israeli professor of Analytical Chemistry, Paul Stanford, manager of the Hemp and Cannabis Foundation, Paul Hornby, founder of Hedron Analytical, and Paulina Bobadilla, a Chilean activist with the organization Mamá Cultiva, a group of mothers of children with pathologies who have found improvement with cannabis.

Law 30 of 1986 allows the use of cannabis with a medical prescription, and Decree 2467 of December 2015 regulates the cultivation, possession of seeds and the production and manufacturing processes for medical and/or scientific purposes.
