BASQUE RURAL SPORTS (HERRI KIROLAK)

Herri Kirolak (Basque Rural Sport) is the term encompassing the various sporting disciplines traditionally practiced in the rural areas of the Basque Country. Some of these sports originated in and are specific to the Basque Country (they are neither imported nor imitated), while others are practiced in one form or another in different parts of the world. They are characterized, above all, by the high levels of physical energy and endurance required, and by the betting and challenges between participants and spectators.

Genehtik will sponsor a showcase of these sporting disciplines this year at the Expogrow 2015 cannabis fair to be held in Irún.
