They have located more than 30 genes that are responsible for giving the different cannabis varieties their prized flavor.<\/p>\n<p>Columbia University professor and researcher J\u00f6rg Bohlmann has stated that: \u201cthe goal of this genome research is to be able to develop different, well-defined, and highly reproducible varieties of marijuana.\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Bolhmann believes this study can help breeders of varieties to know which genes to pay attention to in order to preserve the flavor of each particular variety.<br \/>\nHe also believes it is vital to be able to analyze to what extent terpene compounds could interact with cannabinoid compounds (THC, CBD,\u2026) which give marijuana its medicinal properties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fountain:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iflscience.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iflscience<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Desde hace tiempo los investigadores intentan saber que otorga el sabor caracter\u00edstico del cannabis y recientemente investigadores canadienses han conseguido m\u00e1s datos analizando el genoma de la marihuana.
