{"id":9457,"date":"2016-10-27T11:55:56","date_gmt":"2016-10-27T11:55:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clon.genehtik.com\/?p=9457"},"modified":"2026-03-17T11:18:30","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T11:18:30","slug":"california-votara-sobre-el-uso-recreativo-de-la-marihuana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/genehtik.com\/en\/actualidad-cannabis\/california-votara-sobre-el-uso-recreativo-de-la-marihuana\/","title":{"rendered":"California will vote on the recreational use of marijuana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A referendum on the recreational use of marijuana will be held on November 8, 2016 in five states (California, Massachusetts, Maine, Arizona and Nevada).<\/p>\n<p>This referendum in California is called \u201cProposition 64\u201d and according to reports it has a high probability of being approved.<\/p>\n<p>According to farmer Randall Patten, \u201cCalifornia was the first state to authorize it, in 1996, but it will be the last to regulate it.\u201d He believes there are many loopholes and the law needs further refinement. Currently, although a license is required to sell marijuana, there are many illegal businesses, and consumers must have a doctor&#039;s recommendation, which is very easy to obtain. There are even \u201cgreen doctors\u201d in Los Angeles who provide the recommendation to anyone who requests it.<\/p>\n<p>With the ambiguous regulations currently in place, many entrepreneurs in the cannabis sector are interested in maintaining the status quo and opposing &quot;Proposition 64&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>A 701,000-3200 Californian voters have approved the legalization of marijuana cultivation, and the city&#039;s Republican mayor supports Proposition 64, as it will create an additional source of revenue.
