Lo habitual es observar p\u00fastulas o manchas en el haz de las hojas, formadas por masas hifales de aspecto polvoriento y estructuras reproductoras. El tono de esas lesiones va del blanco al gris\u00e1ceo. Si la infecci\u00f3n avanza y el clima lo favorece, el pat\u00f3geno puede extenderse a otros \u00f3rganos de la planta.<\/p>\n<p>Este hongo vive a expensas del hu\u00e9sped: introduce haustorios hasta las c\u00e9lulas epid\u00e9rmicas para tomar nutrientes. Esa forma de alimentarse altera de modo irreversible el metabolismo de las c\u00e9lulas colonizadas, incluidos la respiraci\u00f3n y la transpiraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h1>V\u00eddeo: manchas blancas en hojas<\/h1>\n<p>Con el tiempo, los tejidos afectados acaban necros\u00e1ndose y cayendo al suelo.<\/p>\n<h3>Prevenci\u00f3n y control de manchas blancas en hojas<\/h3>\n<p>Los tratamientos preventivos con azufre frenan de forma notable el desarrollo de estos pat\u00f3genos.
